nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
n• Therapy Delivery: Administers direct and indirect OT services and interventions.
n• Assessment: Evaluates motor skills, sensory development, and functional abilities to guide treatment and eligibility.
n• Collaboration: Works with families, educators, and professionals to coordinate care and planning.
n• Documentation: Maintains accurate records, treatment plans, reports, and billing in compliance with laws.
n• IEP Participation: Develops and implements IEP-based goals and transition plans.
n• Supervision: Guides COTAs and teaching assistants to meet therapy objectives.
n• Adaptation & Accessibility: Identifies and modifies environments, equipment, and toys to support student needs.
n• Instruction & Training: Educates staff, students, and families on therapy strategies and assistive devices.
n• Communication: Interprets and shares medical and academic data clearly with stakeholders.
n• Service Delivery: Provides therapy across multiple sites and supports students with short-term or unique needs.
n• Resource Development: Researches and applies effective tools, techniques, and community resources.
n• Family Support: Assists families in accessing services and teaches home strategies.
n• Logistics: Transports and manages therapy materials and equipment.
n• Professional Engagement: Participates in meetings, workshops, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

nSkills and Requirements
n• Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university plus one (1) year experience, fieldwork, or internship in pediatric or developmental occupational therapy or closely related field.
n• Licensed by the Illinois Department of Health as an Occupational Therapist
nMust possess the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) designation. • Ideal candidate will have experience working in an early childhood setting and inclusive settings.
nSpanish speaking preferred.
