nThe Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing quality occupational therapy services to program children. develops the establishment of a quality classroom environment which considers each child's motor development and needs in accordance with Agency philosophy, policies and program performance standards, and individualized education plans.
nRequirements:

Conducts therapy treatments following IEP mandates.

Maintains appropriate records to assess current progress of the specific IEP occupational objectives and disseminates information regarding child’s progress to other members of the treatment team/staff.

Creates behavior management systems and coordinates their use where appropriate.
n n - n
Tests performed are appropriate for presenting problems.
n n - n
Recommendations are appropriate for findings.
n n - n
Monitors and records student progress.
n n - n
Manages office space and equipment.
n n - n
Communicates and interacts with team members.
n n - n
Upon enrollment or intake, evaluates each child’s occupational needs and ability in preparation for diagnostic planning.
n n - n
Responsible for reviewing material of incoming children and alerting appropriate staff to possible fine motor, gross motor and sensory disabilities.
n n - n
May undertake individual/group therapy with children in need of such treatment.
n n - n
Provides periodic in service training to staff on occupational disorders in children.
n n - n
Develops occupational curriculum materials and coordinates their use in delivery of occupational services.
