Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Seeking an Occupational Therapist with a strong background and clinical expertise in Pediatric rehabilitation, including developmental delay and feeding therapy. Primary functions are to provide applicable occupational therapy care for patients with various diagnoses in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Major duties include: patient evaluation and treatment, electronic medical record documentation, maintaining expected productivity levels (including special assignments), special projects, and duties as assigned. The primary function is patient care, unless otherwise specified.
Salary Range: $73.82 - $92.23 per hour. May convert to career.

- California Occupational Therapy License
- Experience with Pediatric conditions necessary to successfully navigate this position.
- Advanced Practice certification – Swallowing Assessment
- Current BCLS Certificate from AHA or ARC
- Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff from varied cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Skill in making appropriate and effective decisions based on needs of the patient, priorities of the department, and the Medical Center and DepartmentPolicies and Procedures. Demonstrates ability to establish an appropriate treatment plan, select appropriate treatment techniques, assess the results based upon synthesis of all available information, and the patients' functional goals, with changes in the plan andtimely discharge as indicated.
- Ability to safely perform repetitive bending, stooping, sitting, squatting, walking, and standing during an 8-10-hour day. Normal duties involvelifting (up to 35 pounds without equipment), transferring patients, and pushing wheelchairs up to 500 feet.
- Ability to assign and supervise the performance of appropriate treatment within the technical and legal capabilities of support personnel
