Occupational Therapist Pediatric Focus

Infinity Rehab is seeking an Occupational Therapist with a pediatric focus to join our rehabilitation team at Sabal Palms Health & Rehabilitation in Largo, Florida. This is a unique opportunity for an OT who is drawn to compassionate, relationship-centered care and wants to make a meaningful difference for some of our most vulnerable residents.

The pediatric program at Sabal Palms serves residents ranging from infants through young adults up to age 21. Residents may have complex medical and neurological conditions such as spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), cerebral palsy (CP), osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), and anoxic brain injury. For many residents, therapy goals are centered on comfort, positioning, maintaining range of motion, splinting, and quality of life. The pediatric caseload generally includes approximately 15–20 residents, with many treatments lasting around 15 minutes based on clinical need. Currently, the pediatric caseload represents approximately 12–20 hours per week. The Occupational Therapist will also support the facility's geriatric rehabilitation population, creating an opportunity to work across the lifespan.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Florida Occupational Therapist license or ability to obtain required licensure prior to beginning clinical practice.
  • Pediatric experience or clinical education preferred.
  • Experience with medically complex populations, neurological conditions, palliative care, skilled nursing, long-term care, inpatient rehabilitation, or other interdisciplinary settings is a plus.
  • Comfort working with both pediatric/young-adult and geriatric populations.
  • New graduates with a strong interest in complex rehabilitation and compassionate care are encouraged to apply.
