Occupational Therapist (Pediatric)

We provide Occupational, Physical, Speech, and ABA Therapy services to children birth to 18 years of age in our 18 clinics using a play-based model.

Occupational Therapist (Pediatric) Responsibilities

• Complete evaluation, treatment, consultation, and discharge planning for children in an outpatient clinic.
• Provide accurate documentation in the EMR system.
• Communicate thoroughly with the child\'s healthcare providers through progress reports, phone calls, and other forms of communication.
• Assess and make recommendations regarding appropriate assistive technology and/or adaptive equipment as needed.
• Act as a supervisor for COTAs in the clinic.

Qualifications

• 1 year of previous pediatric experience is preferred; new graduates will be considered.
• Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education or equivalent.
• Licensed in the state of Virginia or eligible for licensure/registration per state registration practices.
• Pass a Background Check.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to assist patients in standing/sitting; reach with hands and arms. Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. is also required.
