Position Overview
This role is for a Home Health Occupational Therapist (OT) responsible for delivering personalized therapy to patients in their homes, focusing on improving daily functioning and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients, establish therapy goals, and document progress while working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide exercises to enhance fine motor skills and coordination, and suggest adaptive equipment to support independence.
- Evaluate fall risks and develop strategies to improve home safety.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, exercises, and self-care techniques.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with an active NJ OT license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in home healthcare.
- CPR certification, knowledge of home health regulations, strong clinical judgment, interpersonal skills, and compassion.
