nJob Title Occupational Therapist (OT)
nReports to: Clinical Directors
nJob Summary Collaborative ABA Services is looking for a dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our team! The position is part-time with full-time caseload availability with hourly and salaried payment options. The Occupational Therapist works as a member of the interdisciplinary team in the clinic setting. Occupational Therapists are responsible for providing 1:1 and group therapy services to patients and their families. The Occupational Therapist will conduct routine assessments to guide treatment planning and monitor client progress. The Occupational Therapist will also provide training to further educate other family members and professionals to support the patient’s generalization of skills outside of therapy sessions.
nThe position will provide services to children and their families at our Middletown Clinic. The Occupational Therapist will have flexible hours between the clinic hours of 9-6pm Monday-Friday.
nJob Duties
nProvide comprehensive, ethical, and compassionate therapeutic services to children with developmental disabilities.
nWork collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team in a supportive team-working environment for optimal client outcomes while including measurable improvement criteria.
nIdentify need for and make referral to other disciplines to address the comprehensive needs of the patient when appropriate.
nWrite and maintain confidential client case notes and reports, as well as information for clients, and other professionals.
nScreen and evaluate clients and provide evaluation results to stakeholders.
nDevelop initial and ongoing treatment plans of care including data collection methods, therapeutic interventions, and discharge plan.
nRevise treatment plans, as needed, throughout the treatment process.
nEducates patients/families in home exercise programs and/or functional activities to maximize independent functional activity
nDetermines when a client has met all treatment goals and recommends discharge if appropriate.
nMaintaining accurate records of treatment and billing after each session.
nSupervises OT students, COTA, and volunteers.
nReviews the quality and appropriateness of the total services delivered per client to make appropriate recommendations to funding sources.
nBuild a strong Occupational Therapy program.
nMaintains confidentiality of client, including records and services provided according to HIPPA regulations.
nJob Qualifications
nEducation: Graduate of an accredited program of Occupational Therapy with current Licensure as an Occupational Therapist issued by the Connecticut State Department of Public Health
nRegistration as an Occupational Therapist with the National Board. Must have a current Connecticut Occupational Therapy License.
nExperience: Previous experience working with children/adolescents with special needs including Autism as a Occupational Therapist (1-2 years preferred).
nMust have reliable transportation and insurance.
