Occupational Therapist PositionHinckley-Big Rock CUSD #429 is seeking a passionate, self-starting, motivated occupational therapist for the school year. Candidates must be knowledgeable in their field, flexible, organized and student-centered. Candidates must have strong communication skills, work well on a team and plan collaboratively with other teachers, related staff, and administration.
Duties include, but are not limited to:Direct occupational therapy to students in a school-based environment.Providing consultation to teachers and families regarding fine motor, visual motor, and sensory motor supports and accommodations.Complete initial evaluations and re-evaluations for students with IEPs or Section 504 Plans.Participate in early childhood screenings and evaluations.Participate as a member of the student services team supporting students through targeted intervention within the MTSS, 504, and/or IEP processes.Minimum qualifications: The qualified individual holds at minimum a master's degree in occupational therapy, as well as the appropriate state of Illinois occupational therapist license.
