Job Description
The Occupational Therapist will provide occupational therapy services to students from birth through 21 years of age who qualify for special education services under Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
- Develop individualized therapy goals and treatment plans.
- Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services.
- Participate in IEP and IFSP meetings.
- Prepare evaluation reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Monitor student progress and update treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, school staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom accommodations when appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with IDEA, COMAR, and school district policies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Active Maryland Occupational Therapy License.
- School-based or paediatric therapy experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of IEP/IFSP documentation is preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
