Occupational Medicine Physician

This PRN opportunity offers a low-volume outpatient practice without call responsibilities or inpatient coverage, allowing for an excellent work-life balance. Physicians will have the chance to support employee wellness and workplace safety initiatives while working with an established interdisciplinary team.

Practice Info

• Low-volume outpatient practice
• Average of 5-8 patients per day
• Collaborative team environment with experienced APPs, nurses, and occupational health professionals

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive occupational medicine and employee health services, including evaluation and treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses
• Perform return-to-work and fit-for-duty assessments
• Conduct pre-employment, post-offer, and regulatory physical examinations
• Manage medical surveillance programs
• Perform DOT physical examinations
• Conduct workplace health consultations and safety initiatives
• Provide employee health evaluations and occupational health management
• Serve as a valuable clinical resource, providing consultation and support to the occupational medicine team

Shift & Schedule

• PRN
• Flexible PRN schedule averaging approximately 16 hours per week
• No inpatient responsibilities
• No after-hours call

Requirements

• MD/DO
• Board eligible or certified in Occupational Medicine
• State of New Mexico Medical License
