Position Overview
The Institute for Hand & Arm Surgery is seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) or Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) for a part‑time position, providing maternity leave coverage at the MADISON, NJ office. The therapist will evaluate and treat patients with a variety of upper extremity diagnoses, fabricate custom orthoses, and work collaboratively with our hand surgeons to deliver high‑quality rehabilitation services. This position offers direct mentorship from two hand surgeons.
Qualifications
- Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential preferred but not required
- Physical Agent Modality Certification preferred
- Experience in upper extremity rehabilitation and custom orthosis fabrication
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid clinical reasoning and medical knowledge
- Previous hand therapy experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Employment Type
Part‑Time Maternity Coverage Position. Anticipated coverage period: Approximately 5–6 months, starting mid September 2026.
