Job Summary
Functions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide patient care and support activities, as outlined in the patient’s plan of treatment. In conjunction with the Occupational Therapist, uses a wide variety of therapeutic techniques for the development and/or rehabilitation of patients with physical, cognitive, visual/perceptual, visual‑motor and functional deficits as related to Activities of Daily Living. Provides quality, cost‑effective treatment to SMHCS customers. Provides patient, family, and/or caregiver education. Submits concise, accurate, and complete documentation and charges.
Required Qualifications
- Current State of Florida Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) licensure.
Mandatory Education
Associate of Science (AS).
Preferred License And Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS).
