Sanford Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN physician to join their growing practice at Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dedicated Women's Center, providing comprehensive care to female patients of all ages. Practice Info
- Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center includes a dedicated Women's Center with 8 state-of-the-art LDRPs and one dedicated c-section room.
- The practice handles 300-350 deliveries per year.
- Access to Reproductive Endocrinology w/IVF and Gyn Oncology physicians within the Sanford Health system.
- Dedicated Ultrasound located in the clinic space, as well as available in all hospital locations.
- Maternal Fetal Medicine support with an outreach clinic.
- EPIC - electronic medical record system is used.
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination.
- Admit (if applicable to the setting), evaluate, diagnose, consult and provide pre-, intra- and postoperative care necessary to correct or treat female patients of all ages presenting with injuries and disorders of the female reproductive system and the genitourinary system.
- Provide nonsurgical treatment for disorders and injuries of the mammary glands.

Shift & Schedule
- Call for the OB/GYNs is 1:3.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Successful completion of an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
- Applicants not board certified at the time of application but who have completed residency training within the last five years must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training.
- For applicants just completed residency: provide residency procedure log and a list of completed rotations.
- For applicants not applying directly out of residency: provide a quality profile from hospital(s) where currently has privileges showing clinical activity for the last 12 months, including numbers of procedures morbidity, mortality, infection rates and other complications.
- Demonstrate competence and adequate volumes of experience to include 50 deliveries (including 5 cesarean sections) and 25 gynecological surgical procedures (if applicable to privileges requested) in the last 12 months.
