• Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
• Setting: Inpatient
• Start Date: Ongoing
• Current Dates Available:
- May 28, 2026 (Orientation 8:00am-4:00pm) - May 29, 2026 (7:00am) - June 1, 2026 (7:00am) - July 24, 2026 (7:00am) - July 27, 2026 (7:00am)
• Schedule: 24-hour in-house call coverage
• Call Response Time: Respond to ED and L&D within 10 minutes
• Average Call Volume: Approximately 8 calls per day
• Patients Per Day: Approximately 4.3
• EMR: Athena and Cerner
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60 days
'Requirements'
• Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN
• Active Michigan License
• Must be able to supervise residents and medical students
• DEA if applicable
• No IMLC accepted
• Conscious Sedation Module required only if requesting sedation privileges
'Clinical Details'
• Labor and delivery coverage
• Management of low-risk and high-risk pregnancies
• Vaginal deliveries
• C-section decision-making and procedures
• Management of breech deliveries, multiple gestations, abruptions, and VBACs
• Fetal heart rate interpretation
• OB ultrasound interpretation and performance
• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Office gynecology procedures
• Open and laparoscopic gynecologic surgery
• Management of assigned and unassigned patients
• Average annual OB volume of approximately 370-380 deliveries
• 15-bed department
• Support from 6-8 nursing staff daily
