Shift Details
Clinic Schedule:
Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Call Details
Call only on weekends and holidays: 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM
Call Ratio: 1:3
Call Type: Beeper
Response Time: 30 minutes
Phone consults during call: 12
Patients seen during call: 5
Admissions during call: 2-5
Call coverage includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
Requirements
Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Active Washington license or IMLC
ACLS
BLS
NRP
Clean history and malpractice required
Required Procedures / Skills
Fetal Heart Monitoring
Low risk pregnancy
High risk pregnancy
FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
OB ultrasounds: performance and interpretation- Level I/Screening (viability)
Routine delivery
Vaginal delivery
Low forceps
Decision-making for C-section
Complicated delivery
C-section
Breech
Multiple births
Abruptions
VBACs
Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
Office/minor gynecology (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.)
Surgical gynecology
Open surgical gynecology
Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOAs, chromal tubation)
Operative/major surgical gynecology (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs)
Assignment Details
Rounding required in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Admissions required
Patients per clinic day: 20-22
Department bed count: 16
Average deliveries per year: 1,650
Trauma Level III facility
Resident/teaching supervision required
Support Staff: 2 RNs, 3 MAs, 7 office staff
Physician is not required to remain on-site while providing call support
