OB Hospitalist Opening - Hartford, CTFull TimePermanent PositionPosition Overview:- Seeking a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible OB-GYN- Practice location: Hartford, Connecticut- Join an 868-bed tertiary academic medical center- Hospital-based OB Hospitalist roleKey Responsibilities:- Provide call coverage and Labor & Delivery (L&D) support- Care for inpatient obstetric and gynecologic patients- Provide OB and GYN consultations on inpatient floors and in the Emergency Department- Supervise and collaborate with residents, fellows, midwives, and advanced practice nurses- Serve as a member and leader of the OB Rapid Response Team- Participate in patient safety initiatives and quality review committees- Implement quality improvement programs and evidence-based medicineAcademic & Clinical Environment:- Extensive subspecialty support including: - Maternal Fetal Medicine - Urogynecology - Gynecologic Oncology - Minimally Invasive Gynecology- Level I Trauma Center- Level IV NICU- Largest of three sites responsible for training 40 UConn OB-GYN residentsScheduling Options:- 12-hour shifts available- 24-hour shifts available
