Obstetrician Gynecologist Laborist

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a full-time board certified or board eligible OBGYN Laborist to support the New York-Presbyterian Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns. The position will hold a rank of Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-house obstetrical physician coverage and provide clinical oversight for the patients on the labor floor.
• Cover and supervise the care for antepartum and postpartum inpatients.
• Cover and supervise gynecologic consults, including those requiring surgical management.
• Serve as the Attending for Physician Assistants.
• Participate in continuing medical education and department quality initiatives.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have a medical degree, successfully completed a 4-year ACGME-accredited obstetrics and gynecology residency program and be board eligible or board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. The candidates must have or be able to obtain a valid New York State Medical License and possess a commitment to excellence and teaching.

Base Salary Range: $325,000 – $350,000

The salary range listed is for full-time employment not including bonuses, clinical incentive compensation, or benefits. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, specialty, training, and hospital/community needs.
