Obstetrician/Gynecologist

Seeking an experienced Obstetrics & Gynecology physician for an ongoing locum tenens assignment starting in September at a 366-bed inpatient facility in Stockton, California. The clinician will provide essential 24-hour in-house call coverage across inpatient and emergency room settings, managing unassigned OB and GYN patients. This opportunity involves handling approximately 20-30 unassigned deliveries per month and supporting the OB emergency medicine department.

• Level III NICU with 29 obstetric beds supported by 1 perinatologist and 2 neonatologists
• Obstetric emergency department volume of 250 visits annually

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetric and gynecologic coverage through 24-hour in-house call shifts across inpatient and emergency room settings
• Manage unassigned OB patients on the labor deck and main ER
• Manage unassigned GYN patients in the main ER
• Provide physician coverage to the OB emergency medicine department
• Maintain continuous on-site availability for all assigned obstetric and gynecologic cases throughout each designated coverage period
• Provide call coverage

Requirements

• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
• Prescriptive authority required
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience required
• 2-year case logs required
