Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital is currently seeking a full-time, 1.0 FTE Complex Family Planning OBGYN to join our Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Philadelphia, PA.
Job Description
We provide medication and procedural abortion care within the full extent of Pennsylvania state law. The candidate will join a team comprised of our CFP‑trained Division Lead and a robust generalist group, with experienced surgical back‑up available.
Responsibilities
- CFP‑focused position with inpatient generalist responsibilities: labor & delivery and/or general gynecology inpatient call.
- Ambulatory CFP responsibilities including outpatient medical and surgical abortion, pregnancy loss, advanced contraception care, and early pregnancy confirmation services; may also include general OB/GYN ambulatory care.
- Clinical care primarily at Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Campus; additional practice sites may be identified over time.
- Teaching responsibilities: clinical training and supervision of medical students and residents. The residency program is fully matched to 20 residents, and we also train family medicine and emergency medicine residents in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Board certified or board eligible in Complex Family Planning sub‑specialty, with completion of a Complex Family Planning fellowship.
- Significant clinical experience and proven track record of excellence.
- Eligible to obtain a medical license in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
- Expertise in full‑scope Complex Family Planning care: dilation and evacuation up to 24 weeks gestation, office uterine aspiration, medication abortion, and complex contraception including removal of non‑palpable contraceptive implants.
- Aptitude for and dedication to medical education, including direct teaching of medical students and residents.
