OBGYN Hospitalist

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a dedicated clinician for a PRN role at the Family Birthing Center located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The provider will follow in labor, deliver maternal transport patients, and provide surgical assistance alongside emergency backup care for obstetrical and gynecological services. Responsibilities

• First assist C-sections, cover unattended deliveries, and provide OB emergency backup care.
• Care for unassigned OB and GYN patients requiring evaluation, hospital care, and delivery.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary board rounds and collaborate with nursing and anesthesia teams to prioritize inductions and patient throughput.
• Review fetal heart rate strips, mentor nurses, and assist with operative vaginal deliveries as needed.
• Make professional medical judgments, manage the physician-patient relationship, and oversee overall quality of care and clinical outcomes.
• Attend and participate in OB hospitalist meetings, QI initiatives, and peer review.
• Maintain coding, encounter data standards, and complete medical records in a timely fashion.
• Work with the Medical Director to ensure proper provider staffing and vacation coverage.
