AdventHealth Wesley Chapel, a 193-bed hospital in central Florida, is seeking a BC/BE Traditional ObGyn physician to join their growing Graduate Medical Education Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to be the first ObGyn on the Wesley Chapel GME team, contributing significantly to program development and curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a passion for medical education, prioritizing collaboration, quality of care, and the patient and resident experience within a supportive environment.

Practice Info

  • Join a growing Graduate Medical Education Team that started in July 2024 with 8 residents per program year.
  • Be the first ObGyn on the Wesley Chapel GME team, joining two FMOBs.
  • Integral part of growing the program and developing the ObGyn portion of the curriculum.
  • Part of the West Florida Division Medical Group, which is projected to grow to 900 providers by the end of 2026.
  • The hospital's 52-acre campus includes 193 private rooms, state-of-the-art facilities, and advanced medical technology.
  • The hospital features a health and wellness center, Inspiration Place for women's health, and The Baby Place for labor, delivery and postpartum care.

Responsibilities

  • Split schedule of resident supervision, personal clinical, and administrative time.
  • Work with Program Director on program accreditation, resident recruitment, rotation scheduling, curriculum development and resident coaching.
  • Serve as a member of the program evaluation committee and clinical competency committee.
  • Perform additional academic and clinical duties as assigned by the program director.
  • Administer and maintain an educational environment conducive to educating residents in each of the ACGME competency areas.
