The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking an experienced Ob/Gyn Clinician Scientist to join the Women's Health Research Institute. This role involves leading cutting-edge translational research programs across the women's health life course, from pre-adolescence to geriatric care. The successful candidate will be a federally funded investigator with a distinguished national or international reputation, contributing to Mount Sinai's position as a national thought leader in women's health.

  • The Women's Health Research Institute combines The Center for Early Translational Research in Women's Health and The Center for Outcomes and Quality Research in Women's Health.
  • The Institute aims to build cutting-edge translational research programs in women's health across the life course, including pre-adolescence, reproductive medicine, post-menopause, and geriatric care.
  • The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is the academic arm of the Mount Sinai Health System, which includes seven member hospitals.

Responsibilities

  • Build a research infrastructure.
  • Assemble and mentor an interdisciplinary scientific team.

Compensation

  • Compensation range from $250,000 to $300,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).
  • The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.

Requirements

  • Experienced, federally funded investigator.
  • Distinguished national and even international leader in his or her field of expertise.
  • Ability to build a research infrastructure and assemble and mentor an interdisciplinary scientific team that will attract extramural funding and conduct break-through science.
  • Experience working with women, and sensitivity in bringing research to the clinical arena.
  • A creative, forward-thinking mindset and collaborative nature are crucial.
  • Applicants must hold an MD and/or PhD or equivalent.
  • Clinicians who intend to practice must be board-certified in their specialty.
  • Clinicians who intend to practice must hold or be eligible for a New York State medical license.
