AdventHealth Tampa is seeking 8 experienced OB/Hospitalists to join their Academic OB/GYN Residency Program. This role involves providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in a hospital setting, ensuring high-quality, round-the-clock patient care, and actively participating in the Graduate Medical Education (GME) program by mentoring and supervising OB/GYN residents. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in a hospital setting
  • Manage labor and delivery
  • Respond to obstetric emergencies
  • Perform deliveries and surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with nurses and other specialists to optimize patient outcomes
  • Provide consultative services
  • Support emergency department evaluations
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Mentor and supervise OB/GYN residents, providing hands-on training and overseeing clinical decision-making

Shift & Schedule

  • Flexible schedules will include fourteen 12-hour shifts OR seven 24-hour shifts per month

Requirements

  • Current medical license (M.D. or D.O.)
  • Board certification or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Certification in adult and neonatal resuscitation
  • 5 years minimum of Labor and Delivery experience
  • Proficiency with hospital EMR systems
  • A motivation to increase patient safety and elevate patient satisfaction
