Overview
Physician for Women’s Health (PWH) is an affiliate of Women's Health Connecticut, providing obstetrical and gynecological care to patients of all ages. The practice operates within a supportive, collaborative community of more than 275 OB/GYN providers, committed to clinician satisfaction and a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and compile patient medical data including history and results of exams.
- Order or perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, and basic wound care.
- Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional issues, and health maintenance.
- Develop and implement patient management plans, follow hospitalized patients as appropriate, record progress notes, and assist in continuity of care.
- Gain competence in the Electronic Medical Record System.
- Submit billing at time of office visit.
Skills/Qualifications
- Experience in OB/GYN or Women’s Health.
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Board certified or board eligible.
- Connecticut license or ability to obtain.
- Federal and state controlled substance licenses.
- Eligible for hospital privileges.
- Effective communication (verbal and written), listening, and customer service skills.
