The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a dedicated OB/GYN Physician for Complex Family Planning within its Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science. This role is instrumental in delivering excellent patient care, ensuring quality outcomes, and promoting patient satisfaction. The selected candidate will contribute to the clinical, research, and educational missions of the department and its academic health center partners, aligning with the mission of Mount Sinai Health System and the Icahn School of Medicine.

  • The division collaborates with physicians, nurses, medical staff, social workers, and bereavement specialists to provide comprehensive care and psychosocial counseling.
  • The role involves regular collaboration with the Perinatal Bereavement Program, Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center, Mount Sinai Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery, Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Department of Genetics, and other medical subspecialties.
  • Support is provided to faculty and fellows volunteering at the East Harlem Outreach Partnership, a student-run free clinic offering primary care and reproductive health services to uninsured adults.

Responsibilities

  • Create a positive work environment for the division that encourages communication at all levels.
  • Build a culture of professionalism, trust, and collaboration within the division.
  • Understand local and national forces shaping healthcare in the US and their influence on the future of the discipline.
  • Identify opportunities for growth of the division's clinical, research, and educational programs.
  • Develop division-specific clinical, research, and educational missions and monitor progress.
  • Work with various healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and psychosocial counseling for patients struggling with fetal abnormalities, difficult pregnancies, and fetal loss.
  • Support all individuals across the reproductive spectrum and regularly collaborate with various health system centers and departments.
  • Support faculty and fellows who volunteer to help staff the East Harlem Outreach Partnership.

Compensation

  • Compensation range from $300,000 to $350,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
  • Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need.
  • The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.

Requirements

  • Medical Degree from an Accredited University
  • Board Certified in OB/GYN
  • New York Medical License or eligibility for license
