Position Overview

The Department of OB/GYN is currently seeking full‑time dedicated staff members to serve as Ob/Gyn Hospitalists at our maternity hospitals, located in the suburbs of Cleveland (East, West, and South). The Department is a nationally recognized academic program with a unique residency program and multiple fellowships. Our primary maternity units at Fairview & Hillcrest Hospitals have busy obstetrical services, with 4300‑5500 deliveries annually, providing level IV maternal level care and level III neonatal care.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an Ob/Gyn Hospitalist in the maternity hospitals.
  • Occupy a critical role in our group practice model by overseeing perinatal safety and quality.
  • Function as the team lead for the provider group within labor and delivery.
  • Manage the obstetric unit, participate in labor management, obstetric triage, and support of maternal fetal medicine service.
  • Provide support and consultation to midwifery and Family Medicine services.
  • Participate in gynecological coverage.

Qualifications

  • Board eligible or certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
  • Preferably have experience in a busy obstetrical practice.
  • Experience supervising Ob/Gyn Hospitalist Fellows, OB/GYN residents, and medical students is desired.
  • Potential for faculty appointment at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.

The salary range reflected in this job posting is the anticipated range for new physicians hired into full‑time (100% FTE) positions. The range is generally aligned with or below the 50th percentile of nationally recognized compensation benchmarks by specialty. Actual compensation will be determined in accordance with fair market value, considering factors such as professional experience, clinical expertise, board certification, work history, and FTE. The stated range excludes the value of Cleveland Clinic’s comprehensive benefits package, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, retirement, and other offerings.
