Eden Medical Center, part of the Sutter Health Network, is seeking a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible OBGYN to join their collaborative OBGYN hospitalist program in Castro Valley, CA. This role involves providing 24/7 in-house care, practicing evidence-based medicine in a team-based environment, and working closely with local obstetricians and MFM providers. The position offers an opportunity to join a busy practice with an active waitlist for patients.
Practice Info
- Join a collaborative group of OBGYNs who practice evidence-based medicine in a team-based manner
- OBGYN hospitalist service provides 24/7 in-house care at Eden Medical Center with one in-house provider at a time
- Consult with MFM providers at a high-risk sister hospital in nearby Berkeley, CA to easily transfer out any high-risk or preterm patients
- Collegial atmosphere with excellent nursing staff, in-house pediatric hospitalist, trauma surgeon, anesthesiologist, adult medicine hospitalist, emergency medicine provider, and intensivist
- Assistance for Cesareans and gynecologic cases is provided by the private OB-GYN group that also delivers at Eden
- Emergency Cesarean assistance is provided by the trauma surgeon if no other OB is in house
Responsibilities
- Delivery attendance
- OB triage
- Patient evaluation and management
- Surgical and OB delivery assists
- Fetal monitoring
- ED coverage for OB and Gyn patients
- Gynecologic consults
- Urgent/emergent gynecologic surgery
Compensation
- $185.40 /Hr. The listed range is solely a base compensation for full-time (1.0 FTE) clinicians
- Base compensation may be adjusted based on training, experience, community need, and other determining factors
- Shareholder eligibility after 2 years of employment
