Kitchen SupervisorOversee the kitchen and ensure all product exiting the kitchen meets customer and product requirements.Duties & Responsibilities:Prepare ingredients per the batch card (verifying item codes, lot numbers, weights, and descriptions)Oversee the preparation of batches (spice, sauté, cheese blends, and sauces)Remove any products not required for current batches and verify all ingredients are correctExercise judgement in the quality of the finished productMaintain ingredient lot numbers and cooking cycle countsPreform CIPs are requiredMonitor sauté and cook kettle processing to ensure cook time and product transfersAbility to work in all kitchen positionsEnsure kitchen and all utensils are clean and ready for useUnderstand written production ordersReport food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority initiate actionRequired Education, Skills & Experience:High School Diploma or GEDPrevious manufacturing experienceAbility to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots)Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoningAbility to use basic hand tools (knife, pumps, and scales)Previous experience as a machine operatorLock Out/Tag Out TrainedWorking Conditions:Constant exposure to extreme loud noisesConstant standing and moving by footConstant exposure to extreme hot/cold (non-weather) environmentConstant work in high places and near moving mechanical parts, including conveyorsFrequent lifting/carrying <50 pounds, reaching and use of fingersFrequent reaching/pulling/bending/climbing stairs/stooping/kneelingOccasionally lifting >50 poundsPotential exposure to caustic chemicalsDisclaimer: The duties listed above are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed and is not an inclusive summary of job duties and responsibilities.
