NURSING SUPERVISOR
Part Time .5 - Non Union Professional Secaucus, NJ, US
Job Duties:
- Provides interpretation of hospital policies and procedures to staff.
- Initiates appropriate and immediate corrective action when established policy/procedure is not followed.
- Provides direction in all emergencies.
- Monitors for proper utilization of staff.
- Facilitates lines of communication interdepartmentally.
- Intercedes
- Effectively communicates issues, actions to hospital administration and appropriate department heads. on problematic issues involving patients families, visitors and personnel.
- Proactive in ensuring adequate resources available to meet patient care needs.
- Ensures regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrates competence as on site manager responsible for hospital operations in the absence of administrator.
- Identifies and reports actual potential risk issues.
- Adjusts staffing of nursing departments based on changes in acuity, census and addresses sick calls, no shows and staffing issues.
- Participates with hospital's Performance Improvement activities through education and monitoring staff.
EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate from accredited Nursing Program
- Valid NJ RN License
- BSN preferred
- BLS,ACLS, PALS - AHA approved
- Nursing Supervisor Experience preferred.
