Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support nursing staff in the delivery of resident‑centered care.
  • Ensure nursing care is provided in accordance with physician orders, care plans, professional standards, and facility policies.
  • Assist staff with resident assessments, clinical decision‑making, documentation, and changes in condition.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, rehabilitation, social services, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
  • Monitor resident care, medication administration, treatments, and clinical outcomes to maintain quality standards.
  • Participate in staffing coordination, scheduling, and daily clinical operations to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Support employee orientation, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective action processes.
  • Promote positive communication with residents, families, visitors, and staff while addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, surveys, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, complaints, and allegations as required and ensure appropriate follow‑up.
  • Maintain adequate supplies, equipment, and resources necessary for resident care.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and provide direct nursing care as needed.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts.
  • Long‑term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing experience preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of state and federal long‑term care regulations.
