Class Description
The purpose of this class is to provide administrative managementand leadership for assigned departments with other divisionaladministrators and in a manner consistent with established Collegepolicies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland;Master’s degree in nursing with 4 years of full-time teachingexperience in an accredited nursing program.
Class Specific Essential Duties
- Provide the day-to-day management of the program, includingsupervision of full-time, adjunct faculty and staff.
- Work collaboratively to achieve departmental, divisional and/orinstitutional initiatives.
- Interview, hire and evaluate assigned staff.
- Represent the program, school and the College with students,parents, professional organizations, and other relevantconstituencies.
- Participate in budget processes.
- Oversees classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction usinga variety of teaching strategies to achieve learningobjectives.
- Evaluates student achievement on a regular basis using validassessment techniques. Essential Job Duties are intended to beexamples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive. Therewill be other duties as assigned.

- Provide administrative leadership for and management of theprogram.
- Support the development, coordination, and evaluation ofprogram curriculum.
- Develop, maintain, comply with, and conduct a periodic reviewof written agreements with cooperating agencies.
- Coordinate the scheduling of faculty, courses, and clinicalfacilities.
- Responsible and accountable for all aspects of the program’saccreditation.
- Participate as an active member of the SHP leadershipteam.
- Conduct formal and informal counseling of students andfaculty.
- Develop methods of program evaluation to ensure ongoingeffectiveness through outcomes assessment and correspondingrevisions as needed.
- Monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
- Establish goals and objectives for operations consistent withCCBC’s mission.

Individual or Family Coverage. Employee pays a rate in multiples of$10,000 to a maximum of $300,000.
Long-Term Disability
Plan pays 60% of gross monthly salary after 90 consecutive days ofabsence. Employee pays 100% of premium.
