Nursing Program Coordinator Description
South College invites applications for the position of Nursing Program Coordinator for the School of Nursing at the South College Nashville Campus. The Nursing Program Coordinator reports to the Associate Dean of Nursing and is responsible for supervising all aspects of the certificate and degree programs, including the organization, administration, continuous review, planning, compliance, development, implementation, and general effectiveness, including instructor supervision.
Responsibilities
- Teach in his/her assigned area.
- Work with faculty to promote continuous improvement of the quality of instruction.
- Faculty training and development.
- Coordination and administration of the academic program for achievement of student outcomes.
Education
- Minimum of an earned Master of Science degree in Nursing
- Hold an unrestricted RN license to practice in TN or in one of the eNLC compact states.
- 2 years professional experience in education or staff development at the associate degree level or higher required
- 2 years of additional previous experience in academic leadership required
- Experience in academic administration and/or leadership.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills that inspire others.
- Familiarity with TN State Board of Nursing.
- Proficiency in instructional methodology, curriculum design, and program planning.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and advise nursing faculty.
