Unit Description
*DORA Certified _Assists with the nursing care of the patient in the operating room. Duties include, but are not exclusive of stocking, replenishing and preparation of surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment. Functions as a member of the surgical team by assisting and anticipating needs of the surgeon. Maintains current education in aseptic technique, routine operating room procedures, and all other duties as assigned. Completion of Operating Room Technician (CST) course required. 1 year Operating Room experience working as an OR Technician in a hospital setting is required. Preferred certification from ASTI (Association of Surgical Technologists, Inc.) BLS certificate required. HS Diploma or equivalent required. Rotating shifts, on-call. 7-3 Shift.
