Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing operations at a skilled nursing facility. This role offers an opportunity to guide clinical teams, promote quality patient care, and ensure nursing practices meet established standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing department operations and ensure high-quality resident care.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff.
• Develop, implement, and maintain nursing policies and procedures.
• Monitor clinical practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and quality standards.
• Promote a patient-first approach and maintain a safe care environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and facility leadership.
• Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
• Support staff development, teamwork, and continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Previous nursing leadership or management experience.
• Experience implementing and maintaining nursing policies and procedures.
• Skilled nursing, long-term care, or other patient-care facility experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and work collaboratively.
