Assisted Living facility in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Nursing Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day nursing operations.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on nursing leader to supervise a multidisciplinary nursing team while ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, person-centered care.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure 24-hour coverage
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and payroll while stepping in clinically when needed
- Ensure compliance with New Jersey Department of Health regulations and facility policies
- Monitor electronic charting, medication administration records, incident reports, audits, and clinical documentation
- Participate in resident care planning and assist with MDS 3.0 processes
- Investigate incidents and complaints and ensure appropriate follow-up
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives
- Support employee evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary processes
- Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and person-centered care for residents with dementia
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM or 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
- Every other weekend
- Weekend schedule can be adjusted to 7:00 AM-3:30 PM for those who prefer an early start
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of Nursing Supervisor experience in Assisted Living
- Previous experience in Long-Term Care or a related healthcare setting
- Leadership, supervision, and team-building skills preferred
- Experience with electronic charting; EMAR/ETAR knowledge is a plus
- Ability to manage changing priorities and respond effectively in emergency situations
- A genuine passion for working with and caring for older adults
