Responsibilities – Director of Nursing (DON)

• Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure high-quality resident care.
• Supervise, lead, and manage nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and nursing assistants.
• Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and patient care standards.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations.
• Monitor patient care plans, clinical documentation, and resident outcomes.
• Manage nursing staff schedules, staffing levels, and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Ensure medication safety, infection control, and patient safety protocols.
• Identify clinical issues and implement corrective actions to improve quality of care.
• Provide staff training, mentoring, and professional development.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid and active RN license
• Leadership experience and the ability to identify issues and propose solutions
• History of implementing nursing policies and procedures
• Experience in skilled care and/or patient care facilities preferred
