Care at Home Nurse Manager provides leadership for daily operations by conducting leadership rounds, overseeing departmental performance, developing and implementing policies, managing annual performance reviews (APRs), and supporting the growth and development of nursing staff. Collaborating with interdisciplinary caregivers, you will use clinical expertise, critical thinking, and leadership skills to ensure high-quality patient care from admission through discharge while advancing Cleveland Clinic's commitment to exceptional patient outcomes and caregiver excellence.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations as a Care at Home Nurse Manager, including leadership rounds and oversight of departmental performance.
• Develop and implement policies; manage annual performance reviews (APRs); support growth and development of nursing staff.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary caregivers to ensure high-quality patient care from admission through discharge.
• Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives and maintain adherence to regulatory standards.
• Oversee budget development and monitoring; approve purchases and establish inventory controls.
• Direct unit involvement in evaluating new products and participate in clinical nursing research and related activities.
• Provide clinical direction, supervision, and performance evaluation; participate in staffing processes and strategic planning.
• Actively promote staff development and leadership within the team.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission (JCAHO) and other relevant standards.

Shift Information

A caregiver in this role works day/evening/night/weekend shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with holiday requirements.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
• If in a Critical Care area, an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS through the American Red Cross must be presented upon hire or within the first year of hire
• Three years of recent clinical nursing experience, including at least one year of healthcare management experience
• High degree of clinical expertise in the specialty area
• Demonstrated leadership, management, communication, counseling, problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution and group process skills

Preferred qualifications

• EPIC, Workday and UKG experience
• Prior Leadership or Supervisory (ANM or charge nurse) experience
• Technology experience (radiology platforms, Teams), Microsoft Office suite, Zoom, vendor platforms, Ceia

Physical Requirements

• Requires full range of motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires frequent data entry, sitting, standing, and walking.
• Requires corrective vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
• Medium work – exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
