Nurses Aide -Surgical SDU - Part Time - Day Shift

Responsibilities

As a certified nurses aide in the Surgical SDU, you will:

• Monitor blood pressure, temperature, respiration, and pulse of patients.
• Ensure delivery of meals and safe transport to procedure rooms.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and basic hygiene.
• Document vital signs and report changes to the registered nurse.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment and uphold infection control standards.
• Provide comfort, hospitality, and emotional support to patients and families.
• Collaborate with nurses, ICU technologists, and other care team members.

Preferred Criteria

• At least one year of experience as a certified nurses aide.

Required Criteria

• Previous nurses aide experience in a hospital setting or certification from an approved accredited nurses aide training program, or currently enrolled in a BSN program at the junior year level or completed at least one clinical practicum.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

• Schedule: Day shift, 3 shifts in 2 weeks (selectable shifts).
• Location: On-site at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center; candidates must live within commuting distance.

Salary Range

$27.65 - $33.15 per hour.
