St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center - Massena Wellness Center is recruiting a Nurse Practitioner – Psychiatry to provide patient‑centered, recovery‑oriented behavioral health services to individuals with mental illness. Candidates from outside or within State Service may apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments, crisis intervention, treatments, and medication management.
• Establish individualized goals and treatment objectives.
• Prescribe medications and treatments, monitor impact, and modify as needed.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records and documentation.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include:

• Certification and current registration as a Nurse Practitioner in the Psychiatry specialty practice area by the New York State Education Department, or
  • One year of permanent competitive or 55‑b/55‑c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
• Preferred: One year experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a psychiatric environment.

Posted Salary: statutory job rate for PS&T Grade 24 ($115,252) plus a Geographic Differential ($25,000).
