Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, Oncology - Atlantic Medical Oncology

Job Description

Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey’s largest non‑profit healthcare networks, is hiring an Advanced Practice Professional (NP/PA) to support a busy and expanding Outpatient Hematology and Medical Oncology practice located in the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center at Morristown Medical Center. This full‑time position involves no weekends or call duties.

Responsibilities

The primary role of the APP is to collaborate with board‑certified cancer specialists to provide hematology and medical oncology specialty patient care in an outpatient setting. The APP will also:

• Educate patients and families about disease management and treatment options.


• Assist with insurance carrier interactions, including peer‑to‑peer reviews.


• Demonstrate a caring, positive attitude and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program.


• Licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey.


• BLS certification required.


• Minimum 2 years of hematology/medical oncology experience preferred.


• Epic EMR experience preferred.


• Strong work ethic, team player, capable of working independently.
