Join our Occupational Medicine team! Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner – Practice Part-Time Evenings in Malta, New York

Schedule: Evenings with some day coverage, 24 hours per week (48 hours biweekly). Work 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at our client medical facility in Malta. No weekends, holidays, or on‑call.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, document, and update medical history; identify health risks and needs.
• Perform physical examinations and conduct preventive screening procedures based on age and history.
• Formulate differential diagnosis and plan of care based on history, physical examination, and clinical findings.
• Order and review diagnostic tests; identify, prescribe, and manage pharmacological therapies.
• Determine effectiveness of plan of care through documentation of patient care outcomes.
• Reassess and modify plan of care as necessary to achieve medical and health goals.
• Make referrals to other health professionals and community agencies; admit/discharge to appropriate service.
• Participate in team meetings and conferences to enhance interdisciplinary care.
• Serve on departmental and multidisciplinary committees influencing policies for advanced practice providers.
• Participate in and develop projects and quality improvement programs, as well as standards of care and practice.
• Maintain current level of knowledge relative to professional practice.
• Maintain all required professional documentation such as license, certifications, infection control, ACLS/BLS, DEA, and system requirements.
• Act as a resource to staff and implement educational programs as needed.

Qualifications

• License to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State, prior to credentialing.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Pay

Pay Grade: APP
Pay Range: $56.36 /hr – $71.19 /hr (may vary based on experience, shift, and location).
