Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Family Practice

Job Description

An established private practice in Fredericksburg is seeking a second physician extender (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant ) to join our growing team. This role is designed to support our expanding patient base by blending traditional primary and acute care with specialized wellness services. We are offering immediate part-time placement and full-time is also an option.

Key Responsibilities

• Primary & Acute Care: Provide comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and formulate individualized care plans.
• Specialized Wellness Protocols: Manage ongoing programs focused on allergy therapies, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), and medical weight loss management.
• Patient Education: Educate and counsel patients on preventative health, lifestyle modifications, and wellness strategies to promote long-term vitality.
• Collaborative Care: Work closely with the lead physician and clinical staff to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care and efficient daily operations.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in the Texas.
• Certifications: Board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA) and a current DEA registration.
• Experience: Experience in primary care and/or urgent care is preferred.
• Skills: Excellent communication, a patient-centered approach, and a desire to work in an evolving, growth-oriented practice environment.
