Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – American Family Care (Urgent Care, Elizabeth, NJ)
Job Type: Part Time / Per Diem
Schedule: 4‑hour, 6‑hour, 9‑hour or 12‑hour shifts; weekdays 8 am–8 pm, weekends 8 am–5 pm.
Compensation: Hourly rate competitive plus malpractice insurance; annual salary range $100,000–$150,000.

Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality medical care for urgent care and occupational medicine patients.
- Actively manage all aspects of patient care while on‑shift.
- Supervise and direct other clinical staff at the center.
- Accurately complete all charts in a timely manner.
- Adhere to clinical policies and protocols.
- Perform suturing of lacerations, abscess drainage, minor fracture fixation, and X‑ray interpretation.
- Mentor clinical staff.
Qualifications
- Licensed Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner (PA or NP) with an active medical license in New Jersey.
- Board certification in family practice or the specialty appropriate to the provider.
- A.C.L.S. and D.O.T. certifications.
- New Jersey CDSS card and federal DEA license.
- Prior urgent care experience (preferred).
- Familiarity with occupational medicine.
- Comfort treating patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
- Clean malpractice record.
- Effective and compassionate communication skills with staff, patients, and families.
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- High‑energy, positive attitude and passion for patient care.
Additional Information
Position may be located in a company‑owned or franchise‑owned site. Each site recruits, hires, and manages its own workforce.
