Per Diem Nurse Practitioner – Pulmonary Critical Care

Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest non‑profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join the CentraState Pulmonology Critical Care team at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold, New Jersey. The team includes five pulmonologists, seven nurse practitioners, and dedicated support staff serving the 16‑bed Intensive Care Unit at CentraState Health System.

Responsibilities

• Work at least two shifts per month, with the opportunity for additional shifts as needed.
• Collaborate closely with the pulmonology team to deliver immediate, high‑quality care to ICU patients.
• Manage the critical care unit in collaboration with attending physicians.
• Write consult, follow‑up notes, and documentation.
• Perform procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement, and HD catheter insertion.
• Preferred but not mandatory procedures: intubation, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube placement, lumbar puncture.
