Job Overview
The Advanced Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) provides comprehensive healthcare services to patients under the supervision of and in collaboration with an attending physician. Responsibilities include medical evaluation, treatment, counseling, diagnostic testing, therapeutic interventions, and prescription management.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess, treat, counsel, and educate patients and families.
- Perform physical examinations, obtain and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement patient management and treatment plans.
- Coordinate care and communicate with other healthcare professionals.
- Provide virtual care services via St.Luke’s virtual care platform.
- Maintain professional competence through continuing education.
- Participate in research, guideline development, and clinical education.
- Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Document clinical care for billing and record‑keeping.
- Offer routine health maintenance and occupational health services.

Qualifications
- Board‑eligible or board‑certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Medical Physician Assistant with a current license to practice in Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
- Physician Assistants must also hold current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Physical and Sensory Requirements
- Sit up to 8 hours per day (3 hours at a time).
- Stand up to 8 hours per day.
- Walk up to 6 hours per day.
- Frequently lift, carry, and push objects up to 10lb; rarely up to 75lb.
- Frequently stoop, bend, reach above shoulder level, and perform twisting/turning motions.
- Adequate vision, hearing, and speech for normal conversation and presentations.
