Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant ConvenientCare Float up to $20,400 incentives

Position

Opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to serve as a float clinician at Geisinger ConvenientCare urgent care centers in the central region.

Schedule

Days shift (no overnight shifts), 40 scheduled weekly hours, 14 rotating shifts per month.

Job Summary

Diagnose and treat common medical problems including sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, urinary tract infections and more. Provide routine health exams, immunizations, screenings, and wellness services. Work autonomously with limited administrative burden.

Compensation & Benefits

• Recruitment incentive: $10,000 (requires 24‑month commitment)
• Float differential: $5.00 per hour (approximately $10,400 per year)

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant required for PA.
• Minimum 6 months of primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care or critical care experience.
• For PA: completion of an ARC‑PA (or predecessor) approved program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility, Pennsylvania licensure.
• For NP: completion of an approved NP program or eligibility for national certification, Pennsylvania licensure.
• Eligibility for licensure as a nurse practitioner in Pennsylvania.
• Basic Life Support certification.
