Job Summary

Geisinger ConvenientCare urgent care is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team in Kingston, Pennsylvania.

Job Duties

• Diagnose and treat common medical problems including sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, urinary tract infections and more.
• Perform routine health exams, immunizations, screenings, and wellness services.

Incentives & Schedule

• $10k recruitment incentive for new hires.
• Attractive schedule: Office Hours - Monday - Friday 8:45 am – 8:15 pm; Saturday & Sunday 7:45 am – 6:15 pm.
• 14 rotating shifts/month.
• Work every other weekend.
• No overnight shifts, and no mandated additional shifts.
• Call approximately six nights per year.
• No direct patient call – for critical lab, CT, etc.
• Six observed holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day.

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum six months of advanced practitioner experience in primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care, or critical care.
• Must be able to treat patients from age one and older.
• Physician Assistant must hold an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility, and Pennsylvania State licensure.
• Nurse Practitioner must hold a certificate from an approved program or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position; must be eligible for licensure as an NP in PA.
• Master’s Degree – Nurse Practitioner (required).
• Basic Life Support Certification.
• Certified Nurse Practitioner – American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
• Licensed Registered Nurse – State of Pennsylvania.
