Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for completing medical histories and physical exams, and for providing treatment to Family Practice patients in accordance with the medical plan of care, critical pathways, and established Self Regional Healthcare, Self-Medical Group, and Medical/Nursing Policies, Procedures, Protocols, and Standards of Care. The NP will also carry out any other duties assigned by Practice Physicians, the Practice Manager, Self Medical Group Administration, the Medical Director, or the Primary Care Director.
Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner Path
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others.
- Must have significant practice experience in private practice or institutional setting.
- Current advanced nursing license from the state board of South Carolina.
Physician Assistant Path
- Graduate of an accredited PA program, certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), completion and passing of the NCCPA National Certification Exam, and current licensure.
- Clinical expertise, leadership, and organizational ability.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Must have significant practice experience in private practice or institutional setting.
