Nurse Practitioner (Addiction Medicine) – Agawam, MA

We are opening a new Springfield/Agawam facility and are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (or Physician Assistant) to support adult Substance Use Disorder treatment across residential and detox levels of care. You will collaborate closely with nursing, psychiatry, and primary care to help clients reclaim health and independence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive H&Ps and ongoing medical evaluations; review labs and monitor therapeutic levels.
  • Manage acute issues/sick calls and develop safe, compliant discharge and transition plans.
  • Provide medical support for adult residential and detox programs; coordinate with psychiatry and PCPs.
  • Optimize post‑discharge medications; assist with prior authorizations and cost‑effective options.
  • Document in the EHR in a timely and accurate manner; uphold quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to program improvements.
  • If applicable: Evaluate and manage MAT (e.g., buprenorphine) per credentialing and state regulations.

Qualifications – Required

  • Active Massachusetts license as NP (CRNP) or PA; national certification in good standing.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of post‑graduate experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Addiction Medicine or a related clinical setting with experience treating individuals with Substance Use Disorder (SUD), and/or in adult medicine providing chronic and acute care.
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration experience; comfort in residential/detox settings.

Qualifications – Preferred

  • Experience with MAT and withdrawal management protocols.
  • Familiarity with medication prior authorization and cost‑containment.
  • EHR proficiency; participation in quality/safety initiatives.

Salary

Compensation: $155,000 and up annually, (dependent on experience, certification, experience) + full benefits.
