nJOB SUMMARY:
nThe Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive physical assessment, treatment, psychosocial support, referral, and health education to children and families in clinical, school, and in-home settings. The Nurse Practitioner functions as a primary care provider, clinical leader, educator, researcher, care coordinator and consultant and works with the supervision of a physician. Performs within the scope of licensures and in accordance with hospital policies. Some positions will be responsible for being on call according to a predetermined schedule or as needed.
nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
nMaster's Degree
nCurrent California Nurse Practitioner License
nCurrent BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
nFurnishing number, State of California (must obtain within 1 year of employment)
nDEA license for position that require the writing of scheduled medications (must obtain within 1 year of employment)
nMedicare Billing Number (NPI-National Provider Identifier) - (must obtain within 6 months of employment)
nCertification: Nurse Practitioner, National (must obtain within 1 year of employment)
nSuccessfully complete the credentialing process through Medical Staff Services
nSuccessfully complete the requirements of the delegations of Services for the assigned division
nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
n2 years of experience in clinical nursing with emphasis in specialty area
nExperience in specialty area as a Nurse Practitioner
nFormal in-service education and/or lecturing skills
nBilingual
nThe expected hiring range for this position is $61.30 to $84.29
